Ageless Baby Boomers
I thought (and hoped) that guys like Robert Wagner, Dick Clark and Pat Boone would never age because as long as they were young – so was I. And if you saw Frankie Avalon on stage (from the 10th row back) you could almost swear he has found the fountain of youth and stopped the clock.
Remember when we were growing up, every time we would see these guys on TV they always looked so young?! Year after year, even when we approached our forties and fifties they seemed never to age. I wanted to think that stars like Robert Wagner, Dick Clark and Pat Boone would look the same until they went to that great bandstand beyond. But did you see poor Dick ringing in 2008 at the New Years ball-drop in Times Square, NY? Who among us baby boomers did not appreciate the effort it must have taken him? My Mom had a similar "incident" at 80 and I know how frustrated she was, breaking all of our hearts trying so hard to communicate, God rest you Momma.

I agree! These icons for your younger days should never grow old. There's something kind of obscene about seeing the older versions of girls I used to want to be like. I saw Shelly Fabre on an interview a couple months ago and she had definitely aged! Even on Coach a few years back, she looked young and vibrant.
Guess that's why 1950's TV shows are so popular. We can revisit our youth and not see the wrinkles and gray hair!
